Get out of the house!

Although we're super glad when we're on vacation that we don't have to get up early to go anywhere, after a while the house can get pretty boring. Kids feel like they always need to be entertained and sometimes you can run out of ideas about things they can do at home.

Soooo....what can you do? GET OUT OF THE HOUSE! But where can you go?

1. LIBRARY

It may seem simple, but if you have kids who enjoy reading, or kids you want to get into reading, the library is the place to go. Free books (so it saves you money!), quiet environment (for your peace of mind...lol), libraries are like a hidden gem in our communities. Sometimes during the vacation they even have craft activities and story telling hours so you can carry your kids in time for those, giving you a break and keeping your little ones occupied.

2. PARKS

Go to the park. Let them run, swing, and slide, and burn off any pent-up energy. Most communities have parks, even if they're small. Children generally don't mind once there's a swing and a slide present. It's fun for them and relaxing for you. Best of all it provides an opportunity for  fresh air and exercise. Most times, depending on how young they are, they're so tired when they get home they may even take a nap - giving you even more free time!

3.  ZOO AND BOTANICAL GARDENS

Take a trip to the zoo. Learn about different animals. Feed the animals. Children never get tired of going to the zoo. Then finish it off with a picnic at the Botanical Gardens or the Savannah. Fly a kite. Carry their bikes. Play some football. There's so much you can do if you just get out of the house!
